Native Voices on the Colorado River

Program Partners

The Native Voices on the Colorado River Program exists due to the vision and collaboration of the members of the Grand Canyon River Outfitters Association. The program was created in repsonse to a mandate from the National Park Service for enhanced interpretation of the Grand Canyon from the perspective of the culturally affiliated Native American tribes. Each concessioner member of the Grand Canyon River Outfitters Association (GCROA) has committed to help establish and support financially the program. The progam is jointly implemented with GCROA's partners, Northern Arizona University's Department of Anthropology and Instiute for Native Americans.
